I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Hey everyone! I'm back! Didja miss me? I thought so.

Anyway, I'm back from the delightful abode of my uncle Tom in sunny (or not...) Charlotte, North Carolina. It was lovely. It rained every day we were there. Tom said it was the first time it had rained three days straight in 2007. Hahaha, we're always glad to help out, eh? But it was pretty exciting. We went to a Bobcats game. It wasn't all that exciting, but what ever. It was pretty fun. And we went to see "I Am Legend," which was actually pretty good. The ending was über-lame, but what ever. I'll get over it. What else did we do? Well, we watched the Patriots beat the Giants (yay!). That's really about it. We must have done other stuff, but nothing really comes to mind. Oh, we went to 3 different Charlotte-area YMCA's. That was exciting.

I hope you all had wonderful Christmases, respectively. I know I did. I got a new iPod, which makes me very happy. Yeah, that's about the best thing. Ever. Except now, I might be going to NEW YORK to see RENT!!!! With Julia! Because her family gave her tickets to NYC and RENT for Christmas, although there's no official date. Now, Julia and I had wanted to do that for ages, and it just so happened that for graduation, my parents gave me a trip to any city in the U.S. to go do something. I never used that. So now Julia and I, and our mothers, are going to New York to see RENT!!! I am so frigging exciting it's not even funny!

Tomorrow I'm going skiing with the group. I can't wait; it's going to be way fun. I am a miserable failure at the fine sport known as skiing (and we'll not even begin on my snowboarding skills...)However, I have wonderful friends who don't care that I won't be tearing up the double-blacks with bumps. Haha, I'll stick to the greens and blues, thanks. But still,w e always have fun. And usually lose someone *cough, Marchel, cough*. It's way fun. I adore it.
And then Wednesday, Goody is having a nerd herd plus a few other people whom we adore, Secret Santa party. That'll be really fun, although now I need to go get a present for my person. Oh well. I think it'll be really fun. Heck, it's a good chance for us all to hang out together, which we haven't done it a while.

Okey dokey, that's about all I have to say  now.

Don't I Wish...

Well, it's Christmas Eve. So to all my dear friends, Happy Christmas!
So, I was hanging out with Kik today, playing Apples to Apples with Ina. It was so much fun. That is without a doubt my favorite game ever. We had some funny ones. Like for "American", we had George Washington and the Super Bowl. Then, for either "Innocent" or "Pure", one of the choices was Britney Spears. That made me laugh. In a big way. Yep, that was pretty exciting. Wednesday, Kik and Dave are off galavanting the globe with the rest of the LHS music program. They fly into Frankfort (maybe...) And hang out in Austria for a while. They're swing-dancing on a boat in Vienna for New Year's. I am so jealous! After Austria, they go to Prague for a bit, and then they come home. And they visit Salsburg at some point. Boy, I wish I could go with them. It would be so much fun!
Oh, my giddygod's pajamas! My arm is twitching, and it's driving me insane!!!!! Seriously, I'm considering hacking off my arm. It's been doing this all day! I'm really about to go crazy...

Oh, Dad found the coolest website. Check it out! It's a quiz to find out how many 5-year-olds you can take in a fight! I can take 23! Beat that!
Other scores: My dad-17, Billy-20, Patrick-21, Darin-33, and Olivia-13 (I think) When you take it, leave me a comment telling  how many you get. We can have a contest or something! Or not, I just want to see how everyone does.

Alright. I'm going to go do something productive with my life. Like sleep. The house is empty, and I've got nothing better to do. Bye!

Holiday Cheer!

Guess what I just got back from? Or, to be grammatically correct, seeing as that is my obsession, guess from what I just returned? That's right; Christmas Caroling!!!!
It was really fun. It was just like old times, only without Paige and Ms. Gilbert, which makes me sad. But it was still really fun. We totally rocked the harmonies on "Joy to the World", and all of our other songs sounded good. And lots of people gave us food, which made us laugh. And also made Sarah rant about poison. It was way funny. And we caroled for Alex Port!!!!! That was exciting. We were walking up his street, and we didn't know his house number, so I called him, and I sounded like such an idiot. It was impressive. Anyway, it was a great lot of fun. And we all played with Bath & Body Works stuff, because apparently great minds think alike, and we all got each other stuff from there. it was a party.

Guess what else? Christmas is in 2 days. Well, less, actually, because it's late on the 23, which means when I wake up, it'll be Christmas Eve. That's really exciting. With any luck, this time Tuesday, I'll be playing World of Warcraft. That would be amazing. I can't believe Christmas came so quickly! But it's nice, I have to say.

I'm really excited! On Thursday, I get to go to South Carolina to visit my amazing Uncle Tom!!! I'm really happy for that! ^-^
Tom is my favorite person ever, pretty much. So I'll tell you about that when I get back.

Packy's hair makes me really happy!!!!! Night everyone. And Merry Christmas!

BLUE HAIR!!!!!!

OMFG!!!!!!!! Packy dyed his hair BLUE!!!!!
I really don't think you people understand. This is like the most amazing thing ever. Sorry to start my post with IM-speak, but it was necessary. His blue hair amuses me to no end. It makes me really happy. It's kinda stupid how happy it makes me, in all reality. He is currently decorating my background, and every time I see the picture I smile a lot. And also laugh. It's soooooooooooo frigging cool. I am very much jealous. It's freaking blue. Like brilliant, bright, royal blue. It's ridiculous. It really shouldn't make me this happy, but I can't help it. He's been waiting for this for so long. Honestly, he's been trying to dye it for 2 years, if not more. So that makes me really happy. And it basically just looks really really cool. You want to say that people with blue hair look like freaks? Knock yourself out. He's a good kid; I know that, he knows that, the end. Nothing more said. We don't particularly care. Well, I don't care; I think it's cool. And I can only assume he doesn't care either, because he dyed his hair. People who care that people might look at them funny in such a scenario typically don't dye their hair cool colors. Like BLUE!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, well, that's all I feel like talking about right now. Because I can't think of anything else. BLUE HAIR!!!!!! I'm so jealous. So happy. So..... giddy. It's a good thing I'm on break.

Sigh *cough* Giggle

Well, I safely made it through day one of midterms. I can't guarantee sanity, but hey. Blame my teachers, blame my teachers. So you know what I forgot to tell you? My swim meet got cancelled. Snow, glorious snow. So I just had to deal with the concert, which took all of 30 minutes. Twas lovely.

So I basically sat through a 2-hour French exam and a 2-hour history exam. Except I finished the history one in like an hour, so I double checked it about 17 times, and then I spent half an hour picking wood chips off the table. It was quality.

SO Julia found a band called "Oh my! Oh no!" I don't like them a ton, but they have a way cool name. Hahaha, if you want random, obscure music, listen to XTC. Tragically, my 2 favorite albums by them aren't on iTunes. Apple Venus and Wasp Star (Apple Venus II). Hahaha, "Stupidly Happy", "Knights in Shining Karma", "I'd Like That", "Your Dictionary", "I'm the Man Who Murdered Love", "Playground", "Greenman"..... So many good songs! They make me happy.

Ok, well, I've run out of things to say.

Guten tag!

Tee hee hee, I have nothing to say

Do you know what sucks? Mid-year exams.
Do you know what makes them better? Study parties. With junk food. And friends. And also massive amounts of music. The more the better. I'm thinking the Across the Universe soundtrack, followed by some Three Days Grace, and maybe a little Pink Floyd. "Dark Side of the Moon"? Yes. Not to be confused with Nick Floyd's  Pigs on a Stick, off of"Pink Side of the Moon." Long story, don't even ask. But anyway, this is precisely what I am planning on doing with Sophie and the gang on Sunday, assuming I'm not off hunting for a Christmas tree.

Hahaha, so Thursday, I have nothing to do during clubs because Meg decided not to have theatre club (not that I can sing anyway. I sound like I'm going to cough up a lung.) I decided to go to chess club with Riley. Um, wow. I suck at chess. It's impressive, really. Burnham and Michaud are sitting there trying to convince Riley and me that there are great scholarship opportunities through chess. What they failed to notice is that no one would give a scholarship to someone who plays chess as terribly as I do. It's really impressive how terrible at it I am.

Yeppers. Do you know who makes me happy? No, I don't think you do. Well, I'll tell you. Nik. He's Patrick's friend. He's amazing, and I like him a lot. He makes me laugh. He's nice, and sweet, and all manner of other wonderful adjectives. And also, he listens to good music. Which is a definite bonus. Because good music makes me doubly happy.

Ooh, ooh! Guess what? Mr. Holly gave me piano music to practice for Jazz or R&B band. I am so excited it's not even funny. The unfortunate part? It's all made up of weird chords like Fminor13. How the devil do you play that?!?!? Well, it is written out for me. But the point still stands that that is a stupid chord, and I don't like it. Oh well. It'll all be worth it if I make it into one of the bands next year. Because currently that is my ambition.

Ok, well. I'm going to chat with Nik for a  bit longer, and then go watch Numb3rs. My favorite show ever! And I'm going to not study tonight. I can do that tomorrow. When I'm not at the Allen's or my concert. But that's plenty of time.

Night, and love to all!

Sick, Swimming, Singing...Alliteration!

Oh, look who paid attention in 8th grade English! Sorry.

Ok, well, I'm going to go out of order. I'm going to start with swimming. I have a meet tomorrow! I'm excited. It's way the hell out in Bailey or something, though, so I have to miss a rather huge Julius Caesar test. But what ever. Not like I have a ridiculously high average in that class or anything. So I'll just take it Wednesday. Ms. Dj will be cool with it. Anyway, it's going to be an exciting meet. I'm swimming fly in the 200 medley relay, the 100 fly, and the 500 free. It'll be a party. The good news is I swam a 100 fly today in practice, didn't drown, and actually finished in 1:28. I was pretty proud of myself. The 500 should be interesting. Basically I'm shooting for a 7:30 or below. No, I know you're all thinking, wow, swimming for 7 minutes straight? You must be crazy! That's quite possible, my friends. However, I'm looking forward to it.
Now, onto my next topic. Singing!!!!! Yeah, so right after this meet, I have a school concert. So I'm dashing straight from the pool to school, where I will hurriedly throw on my nice black dress, do something with my hair, which will be a disaster, and then go catch the last part of rehearsal before the performance. It should be an adventure. I also have a concert for my choir outside of school on Saturday. That'll be fun, too.
This brings me to my next topic. I am sick. Yes, indeedy. Sick. I have some sort of cold-type thingy, and it makes it rather difficult to sing well and pain free. Freely. Painly free? Pain freely? I don't know. Pain freely-ly? I give up! The point still stands that my singing isn't going to be exactly brilliant tomorrow. So I'm going to drink about a gallon of water, avoid dairy at all costs, and also try not to talk too much. The last bit could be difficult. Talking is sort of hard not to do for me. But I'll do my best.

Ok, that's all for now. I'm going to ceaselessly mock Nik for not having finished his Chem project.  And also I'm going to continue to ignore the studying for exams that I'm not doing.

Good Times, Good Times....

Guess what I just found on my computer? A lot, that's what. I was organizing my never-ending plethora of CRAP on my computer, and I found all my school work from last year. It made me laugh. I really have some interesting stuff in there. Like my "Packy" essay. For Mr. V, we had to write an essay about one of our friends. I wrote about Patrick. Part of that was because I was smitten with him, and the other part was because he's just so gosh darn interesting. If you know him, you can attest to that. Also, I found the graduation speech I wrote about  myself. It makes me laugh. It also makes me a little sad. Oh, memories. But really, it's kinda funny. And definitely me. See? "As a 7th grader, she was the evil puppeteer in 'Pinocchio', and she was Scar in this year's production of 'The Lion King.' There seems to be a recurring theme here; why is she always evil?" That made me laugh. But really, it was true. Those were the two plays that I got decent roles in, and in both roles, I was the leading villain. Hahaha. It makes me laugh. My personal favorite, however, is my closing. "Emily's departure from St. Anne's is bittersweet. But she knows that no matter where she goes in life, St. Anne's will always be home. She just asks that you don't remember her as 'Mr. Lane's Daughter.' As much as she loves her dad, she would like to be her own person. It's her greatest ambition." The funny thing is, it really is pretty much my greatest ambition to be my own person. Really, unique-osity is fantastic.

I also found this slide-show I made of all these pictures I had of all my friends that I was going to make into a DVD and give to them all. With a little tweaking, it'll be good. Maybe I'll use it as a Christmas present for all of them. Because I do think it's kind of cool.

Patrick is in the middle of a new story. I really like this one. It's nice every now and then to get a story from him that doesn't involve blowing things up and killing people. Not that those stories aren't fantastic; it's nice to get some new stuff every now and then. Speaking of writing, I need to write some more. I really love to do it, I just never have any good ideas. It makes me sad. Patrick says I should day-dream more. I think it's kinda obvious when I'm not paying attention. Apparently participating in class does have its downsides.
Wow, this spell check button is fantastic! It's really helping me realize what a horrible speller I am. Not that I didn't already know I can't spell worth anything. But its helping me improve. Maybe.

Ok, well, that's all I can think of for right now. Night, everyone!

Remind, Remember, Um, Something Else That Starts With "R"...

Remind me never to make friends with crazy, psychopathic nutcases again. Please! Really. I was taking a nap, because frankly I feel dead, and then my phone rings. I didn't bother to look who was calling, I just picked up.
"Hello?"
*Muted background crowd noises*
"Hello?"
"Hello?"
 "Hello?"
"Who is this?"
Now, at this point, I'm a little weirded out. Not going to lie, it's a little strange when you call someone and ask who you're calling. Still, I told 'mystery person' who I was.
"You're a bitch."
"What?"
"Why aren't you at speech and debate?"
At this point, I realize it's Darin. Or possibly Hendrik. Or both. And, even though I had explained that I had a 3-hour choir rehearsal and couldn't come to the tournament, they decided to call and see why I wasn't there. After the two of them (I think it was the two of them; the voice kept changing) yelled at me for not being there, Darin told me I sucked and hung up. This is why you all need to keep me from making more crazy friends. It's crazy!

Yeah. Oh, wow. Last night was fantastic. I didn't have dry-land, which was nice, seeing as I'm still sore from Thursday's dry-land. But then I went to go see Beowulf with Patrick. Amazing. The movie was good, but it was made all the better with Packy there. I love that boy. Anyway, we were there like 15 or 20 minutes before the movie started, so we got to watch all the stupid pre-preview shows. Thankfully, the theatre was nearly empty, so no one yelled at us for all our smart remarks during that bit. We had an abundance of them. We made smart remarks during the movie, too. Just more quietly. Hahaha, my personal favorite was about Grendel's mother. Hrothgar was honoring Beowulf for "killing" Grendel's mother. They both knew that he hadn't killed her, and had, in fact, slept with her. But Hrothgar said something to the effect of "Beowulf laid the deamon's mother in it's grave." So I turn to Packy and say, "Define 'laid'." He was in semi-silent peals of laughter for about 3 minutes. It made me laugh. Also, during the credits, they played the more modern version of this stupid semi-love song that was in the movie. So I groan about that. Patrick says "Oh, yeah. The vikings had all sorts of love songs. Like that one they were singing when Grendel attacked." For the record, it was a very racy song involving virgins and their female relatives. "Good thing that wasn't a love song." Every witty, he replies, "Yeah, a making love song." It made me laugh. I adore that boy. It's really a pity I only see him like once a year.

Then I went up to Belmar and skated with the gang for Marchel's sort-of birthday. It was way fun. I love ice skating, even though I'm not very good at it. Oh, well.

Ok, well, I'd best do something like homework. Or sleep. I'm so tired!
