Ermmmmmmmuuuurrrrrrrgggggg

So I decided to change my background. I got bored with the old one. It was too.....I dunno. Mature and professional and normal. And you lovely people reading this blog (SPAZ!!!!!) can plainly tell that this blog is anything but. Yes yes.
What shall I entertain you with today? Well, Hillary left. We had a lovely weekend filled with Guitar Hero (wicked awesome game!) and Dance Dance Revolution (even more wicked awesome. wickeder??????). Yeah, so that was a party. And also, I drove up to Red Rocks. That is the coolest place ever. I don't know if you out-of-state readers know what Red Rocks is. It's basically a natural ampitheater. And it's made out of naturally occuring red rocks. Hence the name. It's way cool. Here's a picture I took in 6th grade on a hike. And next to it is a picture of the actual theatre part.

Yeah. So that is the wonder that is Red Rocks. Cool place. Check it out if you're ever in Colorado. Concerts there are so much fun.

Ya know what pretty well sucks? The fact that I had this awful respiratory infection for over 3 weeks, and just when I thought it was almost gone, it's getting worse. It's really the most dreadful thing ever. Except for maybe not seeing Patrick today. I was going to go chill with him at Cherry Creek today, but then Hil wasn't leaving til 3, so I wouldn't have been up there til 3:30. and then I had rehearsal at 5, so I didn't end up going. And of course, he won't get on the bloody computer, so I can't see if we can hang tomorrow. I haven't seen him in AGES!!! I miss that boy!

Ok, well, I'm sleepy. Imma go to bed. Night everyone.

Love to you all!

Where Do We Go?

As promised about a month ago, if not longer, here's the poem I wrote for Patrick. I know he's not going to see it, and I'm really not sure if I want him to. But here's the poem none the less. It's kinda hella long, but that's irrelevant.

Where do we go
When our time here is finally over?
Do we pass through the gates of heaven;
Frolic in Valhalla?
Spend eternity in happiness
However we chose to spend time?

Or do we wanter purgatory?
Do our souls spend all time
Trapped in that black hole
Of neither life nor death,
Not heaven, but not hell?
Doomed to wander until judgement

Do we roast in the sulfurous pits
That we perceive as hell,
Forever trapped in misery
For all our earthly sins?

Or maybe
Do we simply disappear
Our existences wiped from the slate?
Are our souls, so dear to us
Lost in the expanses of space
No longer there to love?
Our passions lost to time
Like a candle doused
Without so much as a trail of smoke
Left to remember by?

Is death a rebirth
Into eternity
To face forever happiness
Or endless torture?
Or is death the last frontier
The point of no return
The supernova of existence
From brilliance to nothing
With no in-between?
After life
Will we live forever
Or vanish without a trace?

Jeeze! Now I'm all depressed again. Sorry, loyal readers.

Only the Most Exciting Thing Since Ever

Hey guess what loyal readers? I finally have someone who not only reads me, but leaves comments! I have no idea who she is, but she left me a comment, and I love her for it. So I went and read her blog. And left her comments. And I'm going to be cool and keep doing that. Because it makes me happy. And also because maybe she'll keep reading my blog. That would be fantasticismus. I love Georgia.

Speaking of Georgia, I cannot wait for the movie!!!!! Georgia and Jaz and Sven and Libby and Angus.....amazing. Sophie said the movie only comes out in England. That would be trĂ©s tragic. But then I would just take Paige and Sophie to England and we would go see it. Getting the money for the trip, and permission and whatnot....well, we'll not think about that.

So, I'm finally getting lifeguard certified. It's not til next month, and the class is every Sunday in April, but I will be certified. And hopefully I'll get a job at the "club." For those of you who don't know, the club isn't actually a country club. It's just a pool that happens to have a golf course, so they decided to call it a country club. But yeah.

Funny story. I was at Allie's for a random, just-because sort of party, and my "friends" (I really truly love them.) stole my phone and called Michael. Can you say "awkward"? Yeah, but anyway, whilst I was in the other room cringing - it wasn't worth trying to rescue the phone - they asked him all sorts of really random and weird questions. And then Adrianne said she was with the Mafia. That was just bizarre. But I got my phone back in the end. So today I call to apologize and he picks up and goes, "Hey! No Mafia this time?" It made me laugh. Mostly he makes me laugh. I like him. A lot. Paige wants us to date. It's funny. After we called him from the bathtub in Snowmass (I forget if I mentioned that earlier), she says, "Please date him. Please date." I told her if he asks me out, I'll say yes. But I'm not going to ask him out. I'll admit it; I am a coward when it comes to romance. I need Georgia's help. And Paige.

So I'm working on my old story from 7th grade, the one about Lydia the girl warrior. It's going...interestingly. I'm revamping it. Paul says it's getting better. It was really funny - Julia sent me a copy of part of a story, "Hands", that I wrote a while ago, and she told me that I was such a good writer. I don't think that story was all that great. Oh well. If people like it, I'll keep doing it. Eventually I may actually finish something. And maybe it'll be good!

Hillary is coming this Friday. I love my aunt! She's so cool. Alas, she wants to do something with "just me." If only I had something to do. I'm thinking we should go see Juno because I haven't seen it yet and I can't think of anything. Grrx.

I'm so tired
I haven't slept a wink
I'm so tired
My mind is on the brink
I wonder, "should I get up
And fix myself a drink?"
No no no
I'm so tired
I don't know what to do
I'm so tired
My mind is set on you
I wonder, "Should I call you?"
But I know what you would do....

The song's context is a little different, but the point still stands that I am exhausted. If I wasn't talking to Patrick about this RPG he's roped me into, I'd be in bed. And also I want to talk to Nik if he gets on. I'm such a silly girl. But I love talking to them!

Oh, Shame Shame

Look at how long it's been since I've written! I'm such a horrible person. Caitlin actually brought the whole not writing thing to my attention. No, I didn't forget you! Really, truely, honestly! I didn't!

But anyway, what shall I tell you about? Well, I went skiing with the Ace Gang last weekend. It was pretty fun, seeing as there were 11 of us in this tiny little condo. But yeah. I was sick as all get out though. I missed the next 3 days of school. And the snow made traffic so bad that we actually left Monday morning instead of Sunday night. That was.... a new experience. A little weird, too. What ever.

3rd quarter report cards came out yesterday. I was a little worried, but I managed to pull my French grade up to an A-, which was nice. I was afraid it had plummeted. Guess not. THat was nice, though. My Western Civ grade went down from a high A to an A-, but what ever. We actually had to work this quarter, so that'd be why. Yeah, so that was exciting. So to celebrate (God only knows why my parents have to celebrate a good report card in this manner) we went out to breakfast. So we went to the Egg and I, which was fine. Their eggs aren't really all that good. So I sat and ate mediocre eggs and coughed a lot to "celebrate." Gee, don't you wish you were me? (Oh, look! I used the subjunctive.)

I went to go see Step Up 2 yesterday with the Veras. That was fun. There was minimal plot and character development, but the dancing was frigging awesome, so it all worked out. Yay! I wish I could dance like that. However, I can't even dance the Cha Cha Slide properly, so no such luck.

Ok, well, that about summs up my life for the last little bit. If anything else occurs to me, I'll let you know.
