Hello, everyone! Or no one, as the case may be! In any case, I have an interesting topic, or possibly topics, today.
First: My daddy's a hobbit. We were getting ready to go pick up my brother from his lax (lacrosse, for those of you not smart enough to know) camp, and my dad was sitting there eating olives. "These olives and a Jamba Juice should be a good pre-lunch," he says. As a joke, I asked him if he had "second breakfast" and lo and behold, he had. I told him he was turning into a hobbit, and he offered to show me his hairy toes. Then, when I told him he had better not start living in a hobbit hole, he mentioned that the basement was starting to look rather cave-like. So pretty much my dad has become a hobbit. I'm still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I'll be sure to let you know.
Ooh, I have an irony for you. I was running on the trail the other day, and this lady on a bike passed me. She was wearing one of those biking jerseys, you know the ones with the water-bottle pockets in the back and all that? So I'mm running along and she passes me, so I look up. Her jersey is pink with flowers on it, except the center of the flowers are those cakes with the cream swirl. Swiss cake rolls, I think. Now, that's a little odd, but someone could just think it looked cool. Nope! Know what company was named in HUGE letters on the back? That's right- Hostess. As in the company that makes twinkies and all that crap. Irony, eh?
Hmm, what else can I talk about? Well, um, Patrick left for China. That's pretty cool. He's got a 3-hour flight to LAX, then a 14 or 15 hour one to Beijing, and finally a last 1-hour to Peking, or some other -ing city in China. I wasn't paying all that much attention to him. My cousin just accidentally deleted all her semi pictures. (The semi is their version of an 8th grade graduation dance, or possibly just a spring dance, I'm not totally sure.) Oh, wait, she fixed it. That's good. I'm happy for her.
Haha, for the 4th, well, actually the 3rd, of July, I'm going to a Firefall concert. No one knows who Firefall is. They're a Colorado band from the 70's or so, and they do a sort of rock-folk-country sorta music. They're good. I like them.
Ok, the 8th grade video came, so I'm going to go watch that. And I'm not going to cry. So there! For those of you who think I am some sort of cold, insensitive freak, well, more power to you. Maybe I had my emotions surgically removed, or possibly my tear glands. Or maybe I just don't cry. Take your pick.
