SUMMER!!!! and Whatever Else Comes to Mind

Wow, I haven't written in AGES! But I've had a lot to do. Finals, end of year parties, end of year other stuff, visiting relatives.....
Anyway, it is officially SUMMER BREAK!!!!! Thank God for that.

Summer is the best thing in the world. No school, no reason to really do anything other than hang out with friends, sleep, go to the pool, all that good stuff. Sadly, for me, summer involves major sleep deprivation. Seeing as I have to get up at 5:40 to get to swim practice in the mornings, and then at least 6, if not earlier, on Saturdays for meets, there's very little oppertunity for sleeping in in my world. Especially when I have a job. But really, swim team is worth all the lack of sleep. So are all the parties when I stay up til the wee hours of the morning and still get up at the crack of dawn. REally, it wouldn't be summer without the late nights. Or the early mornings. The nice thing about it is that when school starts, it's almost like sleeping in. For the first week.....

I can't remember if I've mentioned this, but my latest musical obsession/craze/interest/call it what you will, is Slipknot. They're amazing, and I like them a lot. Really, they aren't as crazy nutso as you might think, seeing as they're "metal," not alternative or anything cool like that. Although they're kinda catalogued as rock on iTunes. Or, at least, one album is. Which I find really really odd. But I don't run iTunes.

Speaking of, iTunes has a whole bunch of cool stuff, not the least of which being the fact that they're selling Paul McCartney's new album on iTunes. For those of you who are familiar with the huge lawsuits and whatnot between Apple computers and the Beatles' Apple record label, you'll understand that this is huge news. Pretty cool, eh? They also have iTunes plus, which is cool, because it allows you to buy the music so when you share it you don't have to authorize all the other computers. So that's majorly cool, because now, assuming my computer stops being stupid and hating on me, I can e-mail/IM music to people. Which makes me deeply happy inside.

Ok, thinking I'm gonna sign off and go to bed now, because I want some sleep before swimming and weight training tomorrow, seeing as I got all of 6 housr of sleep last night. Yay!
